The UK and Sundance 2021

Feature docs, horror debuts and more

Sam Hobkinson brings a fresh perspective to the documentary strand with Misha and the Wolves, a fascinating holocaust survival story which morphs into a tale of mystery and deception, and Edgar Wright treads an un-beaten path with his documentary about the ‘influential but never chart-topping’ band The Sparks Brothers. A decade after Kevin Macdonald presented Life in a Day, the award-winning filmmaker returns to Sundance with an ambitious crowd sourced documentary Life in a Day 2020.

Horror fans will be delighted to see veteran writer-director Ben Wheatley’s new film In the Earth and should keep an eye out for Censor, the debut feature film from Prano Bailey Bond.
