UK Films at Toronto 2017

UK films and co-productions continue to have a strong presence at Toronto this year with over 30 films so far announced. Joe Wright’s Darkest Hour featuring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill, Mary Shelley from Haifaa Al-Mansour, The Wife from director Björn Runge and the latest from Paul McGuigan Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool will all enjoy GALA Presentations along with the directorial debut from Andy Serkis, Breathe which stars Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy.

Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri from Martin McDonagh will screen in Special Presentations with the hotly anticipated Battle of The Sexes from directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton. Armando Iannucci’s The Death of Stalin will open the PLATFORM Programme and opening the TIFF DOC strand is Sophie Fiennes’ Grace Jones: Bloodlight & Bami.
