UK films at Toronto 2021

Discover the UK features and co-pros at TIFF this year

The 2021 Toronto International Film Festival (9-18 September) selection showcases twenty three UK films and co-productions. TIFF will host world premieres from Terence Davies’ First World War drama Benediction and Kenneth Branagh’s 1960s-set Belfast and more, together with new films by Lucile Hadzihalilovic (Earwig), John Michael McDonagh (The Forgiven) and Rob Savage (Dashcam).

High profile British talent will also attend the festival, with award-winning actors Riz Ahmed (Jury Head for TIFF Platform) and Benedict Cumberbatch (TIFF Tribute Actor Award).

BFI and partners, including the British Film Commission, are hosting a virtual industry presence at the festival, featuring a virtual stand and a Spotlight video showcasing the talent, stories and locations behind UK films in selection. This will be available on TIFF industry platform from 13 September and then on weareukfilm.com/talks.
