ScreenSkills is the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen industries. We are supporting continued growth and future innovation by investing nation-wide in the skilled and inclusive workforce who are critical to the global success of UK film, television (unscripted, children’s and high-end), animation and games.
We are supported principally by industry contributions to the ScreenSkills Skills Funds alongside National Lottery funds from the BFI to deliver its Future Film Skills strategy, now in its final year.
This combined income enables us to identify and meet the skills needs of today and tomorrow including in areas of new and emerging tech, such as virtual production. Support from productions gives us a strong voice to work – on industry’s behalf – on challenges including widening the talent pool and behavioural change such as tackling bullying and harassment.
Contributing to the Film Skills Fund is one of many ways in which industry helps ensure the UK remains a destination of choice for production.
